
Dr. Katharine Hubbard
Dr. Katharine Hubbard is an Assistant Professor at Winthrop University. Dr. Hubbard is a dedicated educator and researcher with a passion for diversity, cultural competence, and innovative teaching methods. Along with being an experienced teacher, Dr. Hubbard’s expertise is grounded in real-world experience. Their professional background includes experience as a copywriter and behavioral designer at advertising agencies, where they worked on campaigns for clients such as the Nebraska Tourism Commission, Nebraska Game and Parks, AT&T, and Black People Meet.

Gracey Duprel
Gracey is a junior at Winthrop University, majoring in Mass Communication with a minor in history and a concentration in journalism. She is hoping to become an investigative journalist after graduating. When she’s not doing homework, working, or hanging out with friends, she is either studying her bible, reading, or writing.

Dr. Christopher M. Toula
Dr. Christopher M. Toula is an Assistant Professor of Mass Communication at Sam Houston State University. Dr. Toula currently teaches Mass Media Law, Media Ethics, Analysis of Electronic Culture and Writing for Mass Media. His research areas include the following: international communication, political and economic rhetoric, communication law, and state propaganda. His work been published in the journals Cultural Studies, Journalism Studies, and the Communication Law review. In his spare time Dr. Toula likes film, hiking, and trying to cook with mixed results.

Dr. Joseph Kasko
Dr. Joseph Kasko is an Associate Professor at Winthrop Univesity. Dr. Kasko worked in radio and television braodcasting for more than 15 years. He currently teaches courses in multimedia storytelling and production, convergent journalism, digital culture and society, and film production. His research areas include broadcasting and journalism. In his spare time, Kasko serves as the faculty advisor and manager of Winthrop’s online student radio station Eagle Air.
